Doesn't read as a driver issue, have you checked the speaker configuration
setting matches the speakers used and that the appropriate jack at rear of pc
is used?
On board (cheap - Bob I?) sound should sound as good as many pci sound cards
- in some cases better, unless hundreds of dollars are spent on speakers.
Check your settings and jacks used.
