Hi,
I've an external faxmodem, connected via COM1 to an Windows XP.
If I turn on the modem before booting XP, XP recognizes the modem and it
works OK.
However, if I boot XP with the modem turned off, and turn it on afterwards,
XP doesn't recognize the same modem that has been working before (it does
not appear in the device manager, and I've to reinstall it using the
hardware wizard).
Is there a way to retain my modem configuration even if booting with the
modem off?
