This seems to be normal. You do not have to re-run the hardware wizard. Just
"Refresh" the Device Manager will do.
I was originally told that XP (and NT 4/2000) will only allocate system
resources if the device "exist" during boot-up. If the device is turned on
after XP has been working, you need to "refresh" the system resources.
