Either they had a microphone installed in the speakers(doubtful) OR you
Selected a feature of the soundcard software called "Record what I
hear". That feature is NOT part of Windows XP, but is specifically
included with some soundcards bonus software. You would need a sound
card that supports that feature AND install the bonus software that
makes it work. Try Creative Labs website for more info.
