Try booting to xp cd,recovery,disregard the text,type

iskPart In DiskPart,
delete the partition(s),create one,then press ESC key,option 1.type:
FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs When its thru type:EXIT Let xp restart,reboot to xp cd,
select,install xp,new copy.Option 2.type:EXIT Restart to xp cd,install
xp.You
could/might also in recovery,before exit,type:CHKDSK C: /p Do this 3X
