I don't think so at all. I doubt if there is *any* anti-virus application
which does anywhere near as badly as catching only 75% of the
viruses/trojans.

Despite the perverse way you normally tell posters here this, I completely
agree. The point, which I think you never make clearly, is that prevention
is much better than cure.

True, but lots of malware doesn't tell you they are going to install
themselves. You need to not install malware by knowing enouugh to be
cognizant of the threats, and by running appropriate software to prevent
installation, not by trying to fix the problem after the fact.
