Ron,
DELL online support indicated that my daughter picked up the netsky.d virus.
Because of me, her Norton Anti-virus was out of date (Norton 2003). I have
not reached Symantec yet but suspect that they will not help. I do have a
current version (Norton 2005) on my home pc.

I suspect that I will need to re-install all of the software that came with
the DELL Dimension 2350. I have the Windows XP Home Edition CD as well as MS
Office software that I paid extra for.

Is it just a matter of placing the Windows XP Home Edition CD in the disc
drive and booting up? Is this how I go about restoring tbe pc?

Should I then download SP2 for XP Home and install it once I can get
internet connectivity on the machine?

Thanks for all your help. Any other things to ponder would be appreciated
so much.
