you can use Spybot Search & Destroy to view what programs are loading a
startup,
BHO's which load with IE and sometimes with explorer,
and to view running processes and what child processes they are loading
(mostly dll's)
You can also use Sysinternal's File Monitor to find out which process is
creating the popups.
Then use Sysinteral's Registry Monitor to see if that process is making or
maintaining any
malicious changes to your registry.
Once you have written all that info down, you can use Spybot to kill the
process,
then use File Monitor to see if another process reloads it, and kill it.
Then browse your startup items in Spybot to findout how the process is being
loaded and delete the entry.
Once you have isolated the process(es) responsible, you can post in here for
advice
on removing the infection and correcting any registry entries you tracked it
using or monitoring.
