With numlock they are cursor keys. Once they were the only cursor keys. So You were entering

Alt + Insert (Often not used)
Alt + Down Arrow (Often not used)
Alt + Left Arrow (Previous Page in IE)
Alt + Home (Goto Home Page in IE)
