Thanks to Tom and Mike. I would not have thought about disconnecting other
devices, in my case a scanner and a printer.
I regularly use the SpyBot S&D, AdawareSE, SpywareBlaster and CWShredder
programs. I have learned FWIW that with the "immunize" activated win
SpyBot, troubles can occur and I un-immunize while installing new stuff.
Don't know if you've come across that or not.
