HI! I too am facing the same problem. My system hangs at the "Welcome"
Screen. I am the only user of my system hence I do not have multiple users
created. Hence during a normal bootup the system will display the Welcome
Screen and immidiately log in under my user id.

But more often than not, the systems stops responding at the welcome screen.
When I restart, the windows runs scandisk before continuing. (Just thought
that might be of some help.)

It would be great if someone can suggest what the problem could be.
