Re: Disabling msmsgs.exe from running
hey jake,
try this: open the registry editor by clicking on start->run and then type
in regedit and press enter.
what you have in front of you now is the windows registry editor. move with
complete caution because you can mess up your computer big time if you dont
follow the steps as mentioned.
Now scroll down to the HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre nt
Version\Run and now on the right pane you should have a few entries. Check if
you have msmsgs entry there. If you do just right click on it and select
delete. If you dont then move on to the next step otherwise restart your
computer and check if you have that process running.
Now the next step if you dint find it in the previous step you are sure to
find t here. In the registry editor now you need to go to
HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run. Check here
you will find it. Just right click on it and select delete.
That's it!!
Now restart your system to check if you have that process running.
Do tell me if this helps
