Jo Ann,

First, I do not have the answer to your question right away. But:

- one way to solve -or dodge- the issue is what I do: Use IE for those
sites which require MS VM (cannot be too many of them left). I use
Netscape for all other browsing needs and it is set to use Sun's Java.
This way, I never have a conflict nor a need to switch.

- now, if you insist on being able to make that switch, the best thing I
suggest is to locate in the registry (assuming you use IE) the
corresponding setting. May be Wes can kindly help you here? Then, export
both of them as a registry key with a specific name. Lastly, just write
two small batch files which a line (or may be more than one)
------- START REGEDIT /S "location of registry key"\key.REG ---------
Of course, if it is more convenient for you, you can write a unique
batch file which offer the choice of Java.

Hope this helps
