Install Service Pack 2 for windows XP, as the fix is inclued within it.

Alternatively, you can contact Microsoft to get the hotfix (tell them you
want the fix described in kb832978 (check that you are requesting the proper
fix for your operating system this one is for Windows XP... ) and they
won't charge you for it.
