No, you need a functional print driver/queue on the XP machine that is
pointed at a shared printer on your Win98 machine.This you have in the
"printer" that works. The other one is not functional because it does
not have a driver, as XP thinks this one points to a print server,
thereby expecting it to provide the driver. Win98 cannot provide this
function thus you had to install the print service with a local print
driver (the "printer" that works).
