The driver it is trying to install may not support Windows XP Service Pack
2.
It may not even support Windows XP at all, but this is less likely because
it would mean you would have had to install the driver from a third party
source.
Waht make/model of printer is it.
Your best bet is to probably read about compatibility on the manufacturer's
web site and download the newest driver available that is specifically made
for Windows XP.
