An expanded search in this discussion group, after I had posted my message,
brought me to a page that explains how to remove all printers and printer
drivers: http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm. I followed
all instructions, but my spooler's behavior hasn't changed: still stopping
repeatedly. I'm at a loss about what I can do next! Thank you.
