Hi John, i read the trail of post from Russell to you with great interest,
and wondered if you might be able to help me. I recently bought a Panasonic
4.0mp camcorder. Every time i try to connect it to the PC, it fails. After
the 'new hardware found' window, it attempts to find the drivers, but comes
up with the message 'An error occured during the installation of the device.
The required section was not found in the INF.' I have tried it with both the
USB and Firewire cable, to no availe. I installed the software on a friends
PC, and it worked on his machine. I have also deleted and re-installed both
USB Enhanced Host Controlled and OHCI Complient IEEE 1394 Host Controller -
still the same.
To make things worse - i disconnected my Fuji camera (to take on holidays)
and i can't connect it either. It comes up with the same answer.
