Jethro,

Open the folder and right click on one of the column headers (The grey bit
not below it)

That should display a list of columns you can have, one of which may be
"Date Picture Taken" (It's there in W2003)

It is possible that the software in the camera sets both and that subsequent
editing only changes the one in the default display
