I would be quite surprised if WinXP stripped
the EXIF data from your image files. Are you
positive that you did not use any other software...
to edit or resize the images?

Try the following and maybe it will improve
the issue:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"
