You definitely have some problems...but
if the camera shows in My Computer...why
don't you download the files from there?

Can you right click the icon for the camera
and choose...Explore? If you can see the
folders on the memory card, open them and
drag/drop the files to a folder on your desktop.

Don't forget...in the beginning I told you a
card reader was a better idea.
