Re: Remote Desktop Help
Ensure the following are set on the host
1. From the Properties of My Computer, click on the Remote Tab. Ensure that
there IS a Check mark in "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer
2. Ensure you are on XP, SP2
3. Go to Control Panel and Windows Firewall. On the exceptions tab ensure
that Remote Desktop IS Checked (This permits RDC sessions from within your
LAN
4. From your Local Area Connection, Properties click on Advanced tab. Ensure
that Remote Desktop IS Checked (This permits RDC sessions from the Internet
through your WAN IP from your ISP)
5. With regard to item # 4 your Router's firewall must have port forwarding
enabled on port 3389 to ensure proper connectivity.
