Note that the DLink won't play back dvr-ms files (that MCE creates)

You'll need to use a tool loke DVR2WMV (you can find thisin the download
section of http://thegreenbutton.com) to convert non-copy-protected dvr-ms
files to wmv format. Once this conversion is made, you can play the files
on your DLink device.
