Hi Graham,

The sole use of the PC was to play a wmv on a loop all day.

No one at the theatre knew I was bringing the computer, and as far as I
know they didn't have anything to plug into it. They certainly had no
reason to. And when I came back at the end of the day, it was still
running the video.
