Did your computer come with decoder software/player eg PowerDVD(most drives
would come with player software of some description) or, the hardware must
be able to decode the disk to play it, eg a PCI interface decoder card, that
you plug the IDE cable to the DVD player into, rather than to the
motherboard IDE port.
