Hi AK,
Startup your system in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 repeatedly
while your system is booting up after you've shut down your system
Once Windows loads, you should be able to delete the desktop folder.

|I downloaded a few "demo" games online, and now the desktop folder for it
| will not delete. It keeps giving me a message that says "Cannot delete
| ......: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs
| that might be using the file and try again."
|
| No one else is logged on, or using that game, I uninstalled. I also tried to
| re-install it, then delete the icon, still no use, and I don't have any other
| programs running while I'm trying to delete the icons.
|
| I dont like a lot of icons on my desktop, which is why it is annoying me so
| much.
|
| Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
