No go... As I said, I am still looking for a helpful reply. I have been to
the Macromedia site; I have installed and uninstalled Flash about 1,000,000
times. And yes, I think I know what I'm doing.

However, I am almost certain that the problem is related to security, as it
seems that ActiveX do not register properly. I'm also getting weird messages
when trying to install Quicktime. So, I do not think that the problem is
macromedia related, or QT related, but rather MICROSOFT RELATED!!!
