There are four ways to work on file associations, and three of them are
described in Help & Support. I am just going to give an outline because
Help & Support has much more detail.
1. Right click on a file with the extension. Then under "open with" select
the correct application and location. Then select the option to use this
application for all such files
2. In Windows Explorer, open "Folder Options" and select "File
associations" (if I remember correctly that is). Then go down through the
list of extensions until you read "jpg" and make the necessary corrections.
3. In the Control Panel, open "Folder Options", and proceed as number 2.
4. Finally, the real control is a sequence of keys in the registry. How to
do this is not discussed in Help & Support".
