The fan on the Graphics card does have a power lead but but it is very
short and is plugged into a socket on the card itself. I'll take
another look to see if there is a spare power outlet on the PSU lead.

I do intend to and have connected the monitor lead to the PCI Express
Card but it does not work of course because the card is not installed.
The on board graphics work and that is why ther monitor is still plugged
into the on board socket. I also have a DVI lead so wondering if that
being plugged in or not would make any difference but I don't think so
as that is separate to the installation of the card.
