Sorry that you don't have a floppy - you could have used the floppy disk
set to run the Recovery Console. Not having one is very common these days.
Don't have one on my desktop either.

Unfortunately, the limited abilities of your recovery media limit your
choices of repair methods. You might call support for your laptop for
suggestions. There's a slim chance they may be able to offer you
alternatives but most likely they will refer you to using your recovery
media. Can't hurt to ask...
