A windows update ran automatically the other day.
Since then I have been unable to use Internet Explorer. The browser opens
but will not connect to any site.
All other programs work, ie: Firefox, mail, google earth, iTunes(store).
Needless to say, when on the Microsoft website trying to do an update or
download I am informed that Internet Explorer is required !!
I have run my (up to date) anti-virus software, AdAware, Hijack This as well
as the Microsoft Anti Spyware, as well as PcCillin House Call- nothing has
been found.
Many re-boots later and ie6 remains dead.
Now What ?
