Default RE: KB896688 update

In reponse to this entire thread...I'm running Server 2003 as well, and am
having the same issues.

NOTE: I have NOT moved my program files directory. (While i do have
multiple program file directories...the registry has not been modified. THe
registry, AND IE still resides on the systemroot drive (C:\)) (C:\program
files\)

Interesting yes?
Either way, if moving the program files directory causes this update to
fail, it isn't the admin's responsibility to have to MOVE all of that data to
C: just to install this update. WHere is Microsoft or the Corp that
developed this patch?

It's their problem, not ours.

Could a representative from Microsoft please make a statement on the issue?

(I even called support over the phone, and they simply told me to search
these newsgroups! Horrible service! Why do we pay for these products?)

Thank you all for your time.
