Possibly according to the tech you talked to, but that tech certainly was
NOT speaking representing Gateway with that irresponsible statement.
Call Gateway back.
If you get a similar answer, demand a gateway web reference.
Something so important will be on Gateway's web site.
When it can not be given, ask for a supervisor and report the incompetence.
Note...the incompetent techs will most likely hang up at this point since
they are caught.

Is your computer ready for Service Pack 2?
There is preparation to be done first.
