Both if possible.

What file sharing authentication are
> you using on the server (target computer) - Guest, or non-Guest?


Whatever the default is when accessing the registry remotely through
regedit.

Hi Chuck, thanks for the reply. The links you have given me sound more
like file sharing access and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think
that is the same type of access used for editing the registry remotely.
I enabled allow exception for file and print sharing, and that did not
let me in to edit the registry remotely. What is the permissions or
access required for remote registry? How does it work?
