I doubt it. Sounds bogus to me. I could be wrong of course, but I don't
think so.

If you have the DVD burner installed you should be able to do so even
without CD Creator using Windows Media Player. But first you need the drive
that can do the burning, right? You can't burn anything without a burner,
eh?

I would wonder about downloading stuff like that "for free" anyway. I do not
think it is "kosher". You should be able to get the DVD RW drive bundled
with all the software you need already, and not have to worry about
downloading anything. But it's your call. If you think you are getting the
software from a reputable source ... but it doesn't sound quite right to me,
especially the version number - I think they are up to version 8 now.

My advice? Just go to a local reputable computer shop and buy a DVD RW "OEM"
at a reasonable price and make sure it comes bundled with burner software
and a DVD movie player - then you will be set.
