Default links do not appear

There is one machine in our organization where links on the website for our
employee benefits do not appear. There is a column of links in the left pane
of the web page, but instead of seeing the links themselves the only thing
that appears is a red x inside a white box for each link (as if it did not
recognize a .gif or jpeg file). There are about 12 links. This machine is
running windows xp prof. and has IE 6. the website is
www.thebagnallcompany.com. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The URL you provided did not have any links on it when viewed in my browser
although I was blocking unsigned activeX controls when I first loaded it.
This suggests that you should check your users Internet Security settings to
see if they are blocking these.

Hi,
Those links are fphover buttons- Java applets. Security settings may be
blocking them. Look through Internet Options> Security and Internet Options>
Advanced. Compare those settings to a machine that's not having the problem.

It's very possible that Java needs to be installed or reinstalled on this
machine. Microsoft's version of Java (Virtual Machine or JVM) is being
discontinued. You can download Java Runtime Environment Version 5.0 (Update
5) from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

If this machine were in a home environment, I'd check third-party security
programs to see if one of them was blocking the Java applets, but you
probably have the same programs on all machines.

Hope this helps,
Don
