I have a problem where my IE 6 using XP SP2 starts then closes in "standard
view mode". In order for it to stay open I must hit F11 while IE is opening. If I catch it just right it will stay open in "full screen mode". As soon as I change it back to "standard view mode" it imediately closes. I have run several virus detection and spam programs in safe mode and found nothing. Hijackthis also finds no problems. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks, DC |

Frank,
Thanks for your help. I tried eveything in your list and still had the problem. I finally tried deleting the following registy subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main That did the trick. Everything is back to normal.
