Default IE Image program

I know I'm going to regret asking this; however, I'm tired it
searching.

I have an image that displays correctly if I use the IE based browser
Maxthon, but then I use plain IE the image is displaying roughly about
20% larger than it is supposed to. There is javascript code in the
page to dynamically draw a rectangle over the image based on mouse
movements and the js code knows the image dimensions. The rectangle
stops at where it 'thinks' the image boundry is, and the rectangle is
smaller than the image in ie. Again, image displays correctly and
rectangle matches image using Maxthon.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?. I've checked settings in IE.
But, since maxthon is using ie settings, why would it be displaying
differently?

Hi,
It seems like this would also affect Maxthon, but Internet Options>
Advanced> Multimedia, uncheck "Enable Automatic Image Resizing."

Hope this helps,

Unless I'm mistaken, the 'enable automatic image resizing' will scale
down an image, not scale 'up'

I think you're right. But... is it unchecked?

Sorry, the only other possibility that comes to mind is a third-party
program, toolbar or BHO that's affecting IE, but not Maxthon. I don't know
which program that would be. I'd try disabling such programs to see of the
problem goes away.
