pages load slow - error or page

Last night I started getting pages that load very slow - about 3 minutes
compared to about 10 seconds normally. It is happening on eBay with the
secure login page that connects to https secure server. While the page is
slowly loading a message displays at the bottom of the window that says
ERROR ON PAGE. Does anybody know what the problem might be and how I can
troubleshoot the problem. Maybe someone can tell me where there is an
article on the internet that explains the problem.
