This is not a daily or even weekly occurence but from time to time when I
open IE it opens to Microsoft Update instead of Google.Microsoft Update isnt
even listed as one of the alternate home pages.I can not find anything on the
machine to indicate how or why this should happen.Has anyone else had this
problem or know why?

i get that occasionlally. i have winxpsp2 set to NOT auto download
any updates as i like to maintain control over what is placed on my
system and when. i find this occasional re-route to be handy.
