Default Unable to open websites

I am unable to open certain websites from my workplace, while these are
opening when I access from my home pc. Normally if I try to access websites
blocked by my company, I get a warning message, but in this case no messages,
just "This page cannot be displayed". What could be the problem ?

One possibility: The company uses their own DNS server, which does not list
those names.

Thanks for the quick response. I was able to open these websites last week.
However, today the sites are not opening. What could be the reason for this ?
