Question about Sun JRE and IE 6.0

We publish IE 6.0 thru Citrix.
We use Sun JRE 1.5.0_04 for a web application that we use.
For this application to work correctly we need to make sure that the IE
browser is set to use the Sun JRE.
You do this by launching IE on the server, going to Tools, Internet Options,
Advanced Tab, scrolling down tot he Java (Sun) sectiona nd then checking the
box that says..."Use JRE 1.5.0_04 for <applet> [requires restart]" box.

What we have found is that if we launch IE thru Citrix on this server, ppl
can go in and uncheck this box and this change is then applied at the server
level. So if we log back into the server and look at the same option, it has
now been unchecked.

Is there a way to disable this option for users coming in through terminal
server? But leave everything else in Advanced Options configurable.

What I would do is use RegMon to find out which key contains the value
which is being changed. (At the same time you could use it to find out
if there are any specific Policy settings interrogated.)

If it turns out to be a unique key you could change its permissions
and thus prevent only authorized users from making changes in it.
