Hi,
All of a sudden I have this problem when surfing the net. When I type in the website, it always started loading very fast. But now, it takes at least 10 to 15 secs before it actually starts to load. Is there a virus in my computer? Any ideas? Thanks Regards, David |

An easy way to know if you have a virus would be to use a virus scanner.

This has also happened to me in the last couple of days. I found I had some
spyware on my comuter and got rid of it but the problem still remains. "David" wrote: > Hi, > > All of a sudden I have this problem when surfing the net. Check the thread above titled "Internet address shortcuts" and see if that
doesn't help. Your problem sounds very much like mine but my delay is 45 seconds. The first time I click on the arrow to get the drop down list of address history, it takes 30 seconds to get the list. After that it is almost instant unless I close IE and bring it back up. You have the same? Brian "David" wrote: > Hi, > > All of a sudden I have this problem when surfing the net. When I type in > the website, it always started loading very fast. I went back to java ver 1.4.2 and uninstalled runtime 5, ver6. and my problem with slow loading dissapeared. It's almost instantaneous now. |

It's almost instantaneous now. You do know, don't you, that 1.4.2 has several security holes that can still be used if you update to and don't remove the older versions. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup.
