Hi all...
I'm unable to access https sites all of a sudden & that means i'm crippled from checking my hotmail, internet banking & Messenger is apparently down as well. I've tried to set Internet options; Security Tab:Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted sites, Restricted sites to default, Cleared SSL Certs from Content Tab, Advanced Tab:Checked SSL2.0, SSL3.0, HTTP1.1, HTTP1.1 through proxy connections as well. But nothing seems to work. I've not downloaded any new software prior to that, so i guess it shouldn't be any new software issues. I've uninstalled my McAfee files except for 1 folder which can't be deleted with the message saying it is either in use or access denied? I realised through my network connections that besides my Local Area Connection. There seems to be another 1394 Connection & a Bridge Network; which i don't recall activating previously. I thought the 1394 Connection & Bridge network could be the culprits, thus i removed Local Area Connection from the bridge & disable 1394 Connection & Bridge but after doing so, I get disconnected from Internet. Is it possible that the McAfee folder is causing all the https problems or could it be the 1394 Connection & Bridge Network? It would be GREAT if someone could advise me on this....Many thanks in advance! |

i don't have answer, but my daughter's computer experienced the same problem
2 days ago. i tried the remedy posted on the windows site---check security level and then check 2 entries in the registry----both were fine. she can't utilize windows update so i'm guessing that is an https site as well. her connection info is exactly the same as my son and he has no problems. any help would be appreciated "j.chua" wrote: > Hi all... > I'm unable to access https sites all of a sudden & that means i'm crippled > from checking my hotmail, internet banking & Messenger is apparently down as > well. Open IE, go to TOOLS > Internet Options > Advanced and scroll to bottom of
list. Options there are for SSL, TLS, etc. Make sure they are all on. SSL and TLS are encryption algorithms that make sure your communication with the other computer is secured. Hi Shayan,
I've already done everything possible at Internet Options, SSL/TLS are all on BUT the problem persists?
