Hi TK,
Not to be facecious but, The Windows Explorer can display the File Date, the Modified Date or the Last Accessed Date. Which date is wrong? Right click on the file list title bar to display the list of columns to display. The Modified Date is wrong.
For Example, I create a file in Unix ftp server today.(24/Nov/2005). then, I use IE 6 to ftp to Unix ftp server. The Modified date show 24/Nov/2004. why the year is different from create day? Is the server date correct? The file is "Created" on the server using the
server's date in some cases. Hi,

Not really - I remember reading that somewhere but cannot remember where at
this time. Have you tried creating a file on one machine and then looking at the server from another machine - maybe a different OS or browser? Does this apply to all file types or just programs? Can you use the ftp command line client instead and get some clues from its commands? Notice that that way you would have a clearer idea of the origin or the information. Hi,
I can sure that IE cannot get the year field from UNIX server when using IE as FTP Client. Any fix tools or idea for using IE with UNIX ftp server? I don't want to install other FTP Client. Thank you! Just use what is already present in your OS as a diagnostic tool. Open a cmd window and enter ftp Then type ? Etc. > > Thank you! You're welcome. Good luck Robert --- |
