If I type http://www.llj-test.com/index.php into the address bar of IE6 I
get a valid web page displayed. This tells that the server behind the web pag is working OK and that my network has access to the internet. I can press CRTL F5 and the page refreshes with no problems. I can do the same thing with FireFox and Navigator. If I type http://www.llj-test.com/ into the address bar of FireFox or Navigator I get the same web page displayed. The problem is that typing http://www.llj-test.com/ into the address bar of IE6 gives me: The page cannot be displayed The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. etc. I've tried CTRL F5 to refresh the page but to no avail. What is going on? |

Hi,
Try: Clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.) If running Windows XP: From Start> Run, type in or copy and paste ipconfig /flushdns Hit Enter or OK, then restart. Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "Ian Sweeney" <mail-no-spam[at]iansweeney.me.uk> wrote in message news:eCV$Eju8FHA.736@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > If I type http://www.llj-test.com/index.php into the address bar of IE6 I > get a valid web page displayed.
