All the messages I receive or compose are in bold font. My options setting
has designated ariel 9 (unbolded). I tried reinstalling OE 6 but it did not correct the font problem. I am running W2000. How do I correct this problem? |

Hi Wendy,
If a font file is corrupted, it might help to reinstall a product that has that font. Office, for instance. Kind regards Hans "Wendy" <Wendy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:75399F1E-628D-4E52-B575-443D99B110F0@microsoft.com... > All the messages I receive or compose are in bold font. The font is not corrupted in either MS Office, Word or Notepad. I just
checked. I also reinstall IE/OE 6 and added all the updates. However, the installation was over the previous version of IE/OE 6. Thanks for the suggestions. To set the font for plain text messages an for received HTML messages that
do not specify a font set it at Tools Options | Read | Fonts. To set the font for HTML messages you compose, set it at Tools | Options | Compose. Are you having problems with one of these or both? -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE "Wendy" <Wendy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C68DF470-A517-4B38-86F5-5A6946A20282@microsoft.com > Hope I am doing this right, first time using the group. The font size and bold is the same for reading and composing for receive and
composing. Changing the font setting from HTML to plain text doesn't change anything. Interesting enough, when MS sends me a message that I have an answer to my query, the text size is normal (whatever the message was sent in) and the bold is turned off. All messages I receive and compose are in extra large font size and bolded. Frank, thanks millions. I fixed my problems. You are the best and thanks
for your help. How? I changed back to HTML and reset the font setting ariel; font style regular and; font size 9. It worked.
