got the basic concept and looked into a few cookie files on my pc
there is a file called index.dat in the cookies folder that has record groups of 'url' and 'cookie' record types, which seem to correspond to the 'cookie' .txt files what is this file used for? i noticed there are recs in index.dat that don't have any cookie files? also i was on a new site, that i didn't have a cookie file, and while filling in a form it brought up the drop down list of suggested fill ins, one was my email addresses, since there was no cookie for that site i'm guessing there is an ie6 file/database somewhere that has this info? if so where is that, i would like to edit it and get rid of some old info bob |
