When I type in the address line I get the Auto Complete scroll thing like
usual and past websites I've been too etc. For example when I type in g and the websites starting with the letter g pop up. My question is, how do I clear the memory for that? I tried deleting cookies, temporary internet files, and clearing history in preferneces(also I have nothing in my favorites folder) but it just never goes away? Is there another place IE is saving this stuff that I can clear it out? |

Hi,
These URLs you're seeing are in the index.dat file in the History folder. CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ should be able to clear the History and the index.dat file. Just check the appropriate boxes and run it. Free History Eraser from http://smartprotector.com/eraser/fre...ory-eraser.htm will delete the History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when you restart. Or the History folder can be deleted manually: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "Jasn" <Jasn[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:485403BB-682E-423C-9471-C496E81F14DE@microsoft.com... > When I type in the address line I get the Auto Complete scroll thing like > usual and past websites I've been too etc. For example when I type in g and > the websites starting with the letter g pop up.
