Hi,
Nothing that uses activex controls will download. It is nothing in the security settings, I've tried modifying all of that several times, and ended up leaving it at default levels. I do get the yellow info bar, but when I click install, nothing happens. I tested at pc pitstop and I got the message that activex is not supported. This has been going on for some time now. I did contact microsoft, and the tech was on the phone with me for about 2 hrs until my phone battery died. Nothing worked. In addition to having the activex problem, parts of webpages won't display. This started happening after I installed sp2 for windows xp. I am super frustrated. I'm thinking something might be wrong with my registry. Please, if you offer help, you are talking to a basic user. Help me please! Emily -- detraglia |

Follow the instructions here. Different issue, same fix. I'm betting that
by the time you complete the regsvr commands things will be working for you. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;818018 -- __________________________________________ Sandi - Microsoft MVP since 1999 http://www.ie-vista.com http://inetexplorer.mvps.org Inetexplorer has changed - for instructions on how to find old URLs, go here: http://msmvps.com/spywaresucks/archi.../14/46971.aspx "detraglia" <detraglia@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:267EFBDF-AA41-41B8-B8B9-7F787D9F175A@microsoft.com... > Hi, > Nothing that uses activex controls will download.
